The brief
The principal entrance hall needed a warmer surface that would lead naturally past the staircase and into the home.
The challenge
The pattern had to remain composed through a narrow circulation space with several visible edges and thresholds.
Our work
Elite set the herringbone from the hall's longest sightline and resolved its edges against the stair, glazing and adjoining rooms.
The result
A continuous pale timber route now gives the entrance hall rhythm, warmth and visual length.
